I've been wearing my hair curly for awhile now so I thought it was time to go in for a trim and blow out.  I love the retro feel of this look so I thought I would share it with you.

This is my favorite eye look to wear when I'm wearing a bright matte lip.

Snapshot Look of the Day - Purple

I did this look a couple of weeks ago but realized that I hadn't shared it!  I love purple eyeshadow and I decided to do purple lipstick as well. 

The eye color is mainly Kat Von D's Prague Eyeshadow with some MAC Pressed Pigment.  The lips are MAC's Yung Rapunxel.  On my hair I did a two strand twists then bantu knotted them.  I pinned the sides up to create a kind of faux hawk.

MAC Fashion Sets 2013 - Lipstick Edition

MAC recently released their 2013 Fashion Sets Collection and MAC addicts everywhere where all about getting their hands on the lipsticks.  With this release we also saw a return of the much coveted Heroine Lipstick that launched last year.  I purchased all of the lipsticks so I thought that I would share them with you guys.  Also, even though the lipsticks quickly sold out on MAC.com and with other retailers, you may still be able to find them at a counter and they also should launch internationally in May!

I actually like all of the colors but Silly will take some work for me to get it to look cute on my darker complexion.  For reference, I am NW43/NW45 in MAC and 175 Cafe in Make Up For Ever HD Liquid Foundation.

If you haven't tried the bareMinerals Ready shadows, you are definitely missing out.  The texture is awesome, the color payoff is great and they blend really well together.  I haven't purchased any really unique colors from them yet, so I can't testify to that aspect, however, every quad and duo that I have purchased has been great!  My favorite shadow palette that I have tried from them, so far, is The Elements!  Let me know if you have tried any of their palettes and what you think about them.

Instagram - Work Look of the Day 3.27.13

Today I was pressed for time as usual, and I had to do half of my makeup with my daughter on my lap!  Anytime this happens, I usually go for a simple eye look so that I can get it done and get out of the house.  I always end up reaching for my Pressed Pigments by MAC because they always add a little extra something to any eye look!  I cannot stop using them.
