Lip Mix: MAC's Pink Nouveau Lipstick & Fabulous Fun Dazzleglass

 Sometimes I buy lipsticks and they look great in swatches but not so much on my lips.  When this happens, I try to manipulate the lipstick to make it Sabrina friendly.  Pink Nouveau is a gorgeous color and I can actually get away with wearing it alone but I prefer it with a lipgloss.  I paired it with Fabulous Fun Dazzleglass and I love it!

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush - Charisma

Where have the days gone?  I seriously can't keep track of the days and I can't believe it's almost August!  I've cut back on my makeup shopping but awhile ago I purchased a set from QVC and it came with a gorgeous blush.  I've been wanting to try Tarte's Amazonian Clay blushes for some time and I'm glad I finally took the plunge.

This blush is a pink shade with tiny shimmer in it.  It reminded me of Nars' Orgasm Blush when I first saw it but this one is pinker and the shimmer is more subtle.  I like this blush a lot and it does show up on my skin.  It lasted about 6 hours on me before it started to fade slightly.  I didn't test the complete 12 hour claim but it lasted through my 9 hour day.

Lovely shade!  I am definitely getting more of these blushes soon.

My first Eyeshadow Tutorial

MAC Heavenly Creature Haul

I can't believe I was going to skip this collection.  I'm so happy that I decided to get a few items because I have been really enjoying my purchases.  Because MAC launches so many collections, I sometimes overlook the really great products because I feel so overwhelmed by the sheer volume of items.  After seeing some swatches, I decided to get four things.  I purchased one Mineralize Skinfinish, one Cremesheen Glass and two Lipsticks.

I picked this shade because it had both gold and purple in it and I thought it would be nice on my skintone as it seemed like the darkest color of the four offered.  I really like this shade so far and I'm happy that I got it.

It has a great sheen to it without being a glitterbomb.

This color stood out to me because it's a pinky-brown shade that I thought would not only look good alone but also paired with nude and pink lipsticks.  I love this shade and I'm seriously considering getting a backup.  This gloss glides on smoothly and isn't sticky.  It feels great on the lips.

It doesn't give me much pigmentation but I like it still.  It's a sheer pretty color.

I couldn't resist the red shade of course.  This shade is sheer but can be built up.  I'm not totally loving this shade yet but I do like it.

It looks really pretty and I like that it leans a bit coral.  It's a good spring/summer color for women of color who may be scared to wear a more bold bright lip.

I really wanted to try this color because it seemed like a popular shade and I didn't want to wait and it be sold out.  I thought it might be too light for me but it is fast becoming one of my favorite lip shades.  It is very sheer but that is what I like about it.  I love the subtle color and I like pairing it with Strictly Plutonic.

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture #7 Le Fuchsia

After picking up quite a few neutral lipsticks I decided to add some color to my life.  I love bright pink and purple lipsticks so I thought YSL's Le Fuchsia would be right up my alley.  I now love the Rouge Pur Couture formula.  I actually prefer it to the Rouge Volupte's and find that this formula last longer on me.

Although the packaging isn't as fancy as the Rouge Voluptes, it is still luxurious and pretty and I still like it a lot.  I will definitely purchase more shades in this formula as I have really been enjoying this shade.

 
This shade is so nice and I will definitely use this often.  Have you tried the Pur Couture formula?  Do you prefer it to the Rouge Volupte?
